Junaid’s Safe Haven is currently a safe haven for children aged 0-18 years old, who were rescued from crisis situations. Our children were either abused, abandoned, surrendered (given up) or neglected and in need of long term residential care.

Junaid’s Safe Haven has a resilient personal feel. The kids are raised to know that there is a God who loves them and knows their name. We have room for expansion but we need to hire more staff to take care of the growing numbers of children. Like many other places of safety, we started out as Safety parents with a desire to nurture and care for children within our local communities We believe that every child should have a family. We work alongside DSD (Department Social Development) and social workers as well as SAPS (South African Police Services), to provide protection and care for all the children placed in our care.

Sadly, not every child is “adoptable” and so for many, we become their family Aside from daily home life activities, we make sure that all the children receive a good education at local schools. We also have a day-care onsite for our smaller children.

This year (2018) we have formally registered as a NPO (Non-Profit Organisation) to further entrench our mission and commitment to provide a safe haven to all the vulnerable children in our care.

God is at the centre of all we do here  at Junaid’s Safe Haven.
